From their start in 1902 when William H. Gunlocke and four other wood furniture experts acquired a vacant factory in Wayland, New York and establish the W. H. Gunlocke Chair Company to the 1920’s when they were awarded their first national contract with Western Electric to the death of of the elder Gunlocke when Howard Gunlocke became president and established the use of direct sales people and showrooms up to today after over 100 years in business Gunlocke is still a leader in the office furniture industry.
